2026 Artist Series
The Portland Bangers FC Local Artist Series is a program that brings Portland’s creativity onto the pitch. Each home match of the 2026 season will spotlight a different artist whose work is transformed into a limited-edition poster, scarf, coozie, and sticker, sold exclusively at the stadium. The series is all about uplifting local talent, showcasing bold designs, and celebrating Portland’s offbeat spirit. Whether it’s Saucy T. Sausage, the energy of the supporter drums, or the vibrant culture that makes Bangers FC unlike any other club.
Grill Marks is an independent fanzine created by supporters of the Portland Bangers, celebrating the culture, creativity, and community that surrounds the club. Produced and distributed for free, the zine captures the DIY spirit of supporter culture, made by fans, for fans.
Their creative process is intentionally loose and intuitive: follow the half-baked ideas, keep what works, scrap what doesn’t. Rooted in the traditions of global football fandom, Grill Marks draws inspiration from terrace culture, sticker art, and the graphic language of supporter-made media. The project lives at the intersection of sports, art, and community storytelling, documenting the weird, joyful, and chaotic energy that makes the Bangers scene unique.

Shannon Snelgrove is a Portland-based illustrator whose work blends the visual heritage of sport with the tactile traditions of analog textile arts. With a background in sports product design, she brings a deep appreciation for merchandise as both storytelling and craft, creating pieces that feel as intentional as they are wearable.
Rooted in process, Shannon gravitates toward analog-inspired graphics and techniques, often drawing from traditional quilt motifs and textile patterns to build layered, meaningful designs. Her creative perspective is shaped by the dedication of athletes, the influence of artists like Lisa Congdon, and the vibrant arts culture of Portland Art Museum.
Deeply connected to Portland, Shannon finds inspiration in the city’s uniquely creative, niche business scene, an ecosystem that encourages experimentation, individuality, and craft-driven work.

Eddy (he/him) is a Portland-based artist and tattooer who has been working in the city’s creative scene for over a decade. Known for blending retro advertising imagery with surreal, abstract elements, Eddy’s work often features unexpected motifs like multiple eyes, robot cables, dentures, and playful mechanical forms, all rendered with bold color and vintage-inspired graphic energy.
His artistic approach is shaped by an unusual combination of influences. Growing up with a father in the dental industry and spending years working in customer service, Eddy developed a fascination with the relationship between professionalism and care. Today, he brings that same philosophy to his tattoo practice, treating the studio with the same attention to detail and quality that you might expect from a medical practice, while ensuring clients leave with both a great tattoo and a memorable experience.
Outside the studio, Eddy enjoys collaborating with fellow small businesses and contributing to Portland’s creative ecosystem. The street art, stickers, and handmade culture found around neighborhoods like Alberta and Mississippi continue to fuel his ideas, alongside the work of artists like Keith Haring and Jean-Michel Basquiat,
When he’s not drawing or tattooing, Eddy can often be found exploring Portland’s neighborhoods, listening to bands like Broncho, grabbing food at spots like Nong’s or Via Chicago, or spending time wandering the rose-lined streets of Ladd’s Addition.
His work reflects the same spirit that defines Portland’s creative culture: vintage-inspired, colorful, strange, and full of personality.

Jess Phoa (she/her) is a designer and illustrator originally from New York and now based in the Columbia River Gorge. A longtime Portland Bangers supporter, Jess has been a fan since the club’s inaugural season, you’ll often find her in the stands at home matches holding one of her handmade signs and fully committing to the bit.
Her work blends playful humor, expressive character design, and a love for bold personality. Using mostly ink pens and markers, Jess creates illustrations that feel cheeky, charming, and a little coquettish. She draws inspiration from fellow artists, food writers, and the joyful weirdness of everyday culture, from cooking and crafting to cycling around the Pacific Northwest. Outside the studio, Jess enjoys diving into food adventures (she swears by Yaowarat chive cakes and a shandy), watching reruns of Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations, and cheering on her favorite teams.
Jess believes that the best creative work comes from embracing who you are and finding your people. Her approach to illustration, and to life, is rooted in the idea that you can be unapologetically yourself and still belong.

Oliver Casillas (he/him) is a multidisciplinary Mexican artist based in the Pacific Northwest whose work blends storytelling, humor, and cultural symbolism. Through illustration, murals, and design, Oliver creates bold visual narratives that draw from community experiences, street culture, and the small moments that shape identity.
His work often takes familiar characters or cultural symbols and pushes them into unexpected situations, transforming ordinary moments into playful, slightly chaotic visual stories. Whether working on large-scale murals or digital illustrations, Oliver approaches each project with a focus on strong storytelling, expressive characters, and a sense of humor that invites viewers into the narrative.
Inspired by artists who merge visual storytelling with cultural identity, Oliver also draws from the rhythms of everyday life, conversations with family, neighborhood street scenes, local traditions, and the creative communities around him. Based in Southeast Portland, he finds constant inspiration in the city’s mix of street art, independent businesses, and the people who continue to champion bold, weird ideas.
At the center of Oliver’s work is a belief that art should feel alive: playful, bold, and a little bit unhinged.
