A NEW HOME, A NEW ERA: BANGERS AND CHERRY BOMBS FC COMMIT TO LENTS FOR 2026 SUMMER

TICKET PACKAGES AVAILABLE NOW: 13 MATCHES, A NEW WOMEN’S TEAM, AND A FAN-FIRST STADIUM

PORTLAND, OR — The beautiful game is officially finding a summer home in Southeast Portland. Portland Parks & Recreation (PP&R), in collaboration with the Portland Pickles and COLLiDE Sport, is thrilled to announce that Lents Field @ Lents Park, will host a 13-game season for the Portland Bangers FC (USL League Two) and the brand-new Portland Cherry Bombs FC (USL W League) for the 2026 season.

Located directly adjacent to the iconic Walker Stadium, Lents Field will be transformed into intimate, high-energy soccer grounds from May through July. This seasonal takeover brings pre-professional-level soccer to the heart of the Lents neighborhood, creating a premier sports destination for the city’s most passionate fans.

Season ticket waitlists are now open for Portland Cherry Bombs FC and Portland Bangers FC. 2026 schedule and single-game tickets go on sale in the coming days.

“By tapping into the same infrastructure fans already love at Walker Stadium—expanded concessions, elevated food and drink, and premium merchandise—we’re not just moving games. We’re delivering 13 nights, two electric teams, and one nonstop party at Lents,” said Alan Miller, president of COLLiDE. “This isn’t just soccer. It’s a full-scale fan experience that hits the second you walk through the gate.”

The 2026 season features the highly anticipated debut of the Portland Cherry Bombs FC, bringing elite women’s soccer to the Southeast community. Alongside the Bangers, the two teams will provide a non-stop summer slate of action.

Our goal is to show  that soccer has a vibrant and sustainable future in Southeast Portland,” said Courtney Schmidt, General Manager of The Portland Bangers, Cherry Bombs, and Pickles.

Fan Experience: Closer Than Ever

  • The updated stadium features a field-level layout that places fans directly on the touchline- just feet from the action, with no traditional barriers. The design draws inspiration from intimate European supporter grounds, creating a louder, more immersive matchday environment.

  • Fans will also benefit from shared access to Walker Stadium’s established concessions, bar service, and merchandise areas, delivering a seamless, festival-style game-day experience. Built with the neighborhood in mind, the venue emphasizes accessibility, energy, and community connection around local professional soccer.

Season Tickets for the Portland Bangers and the inaugural Portland Cherry Bombs season are on sale for Portland Cherry Bombs FC and Portland Bangers FC. Fans are encouraged to act fast, as the intimate nature of the Lents Field residency means capacity will be extremely  limited.
